Longworth Editors is pleased to have three high
profile judges from a literary agency, publishing and academia who will
assess competition entries and pick one winner and two runners-up.

Mariateresa Boffo
Mariateresa Boffo has worked in publishing for over ten years and is as
experienced with fiction as she is with non-fiction. She has published
a novel (Senza Mani, La Tartaruga edizioni 1995) and has translated a
number of fiction and non-fiction titles from English into Italian, as
well as writing and editing features for various Italian literary magazines.
During her seven years at Penguin UK she has worked on non-fiction titles
as well as on the Modern Classics lists commissioning dozens of translations
and introductions of works by authors such as John Updike, Ian McEwan,
John Banville and Ali Smith. She also works as an editorial consultant
and reader for a wide range of different publishers and scouts including
Portobello, Granta and Koukla MacLehose.
Kasia Boddy
Kasia Boddy is senior lecturer in English at University College London.
The author of Boxing: A Cultural History, she has also co-edited three
anthologies of short fiction. Her own stories have appeared in Pretext,
Short Fiction and The Reader, ed. Ali Smith.
Marcella Edwards
Marcella Edwards is an Agent at Peters Fraser and Dunlop, and works in
the Books Division. She represents a wide range of both fiction and non-fiction
writers, looks after Peters Fraser and Dunlop's Literary Estates, and
runs the Print-on-Demand programme. Before joining Peters Fraser and Dunlop,
Marcella worked at Penguin, HarperCollins and Random House.
